Let Them Eat Cake…and Tarts, and…

Just a short post to honor some of the delicious food that Paris has to offer, which I’ve been highly enjoying.  Below a tarte aux frambroises, which tasted even better than it looks.

Whitney and I also ducked out of a rainstorm today to Les Deux Magots, a famous cafe in the St. Germain-des-Pres neighborhood, once frequented by Hemingway, Sartre and the like.  While we were waiting for the weather to improve we indulged in a gateau chocolat, which was something like chocolate mousse in cake form.  But despite these incredible desserts, by far my favorite Paris baked good has been the baguette, fresh from the bakery next door, warm, flaky, soft-on-the-inside, and an everyday purchase since we’ve been here.
